Buying from Wayne Gum from my Google Questions either it gives glowing reports - which from my experience with the said person I think might be self motivated. On the other hand, the same as myself, accepts the money and gives a concrete warranty; once the item has left the concrete of New Zealand - the warranty period is over.
He refuses to answer emails, he has refused a request from Paypal to contact me.
From other reviews from other customers - this appears normal for him.. I am not alone with my problem

You were smart enough to check it out before buying or bidding,so good for you If the seller will not answer & there are mixed reviews,i would probably try to buy elsewhere.

I too have been scammed by Wayne Gum & Hyperpak, I ordered a ignition for my bike, 38 dfays later: no Hyperpak ignition. Emailed him; he sent another arrived in a week, BUT it didn't work, I emailed him over eBay and his personal email 3 times over a weeks time: NO response.
No product support on the hyperpak I purchased, I searched his website, diagrams of other plug/pin configurations but not for my bike's ignition, should be configured properly before leaving his shop, and no plug/pin information shipped with the unit.
I have 2 bikes with functioning ignitions, 1 without, tried the Hyperpak in all, won't start any of them. I guess he lost out because I considered replacing all the original ignitions with Hyperpaks - so long as it improved performance, as he states in his advrtisement. Not functionin at all isn't an improvement!
My advise (and many others if you do a web search on "Wayne Gum") is DO NOT do business with him or Hyperpak; frustration, money and time lost, not worth the headache! I have noticed that about half of the buyers responding have have working Hyperpaks sent to them, good for them, 50% of others do not, thats a poor percentage.

It is a fair bet that 0% of eBay buyers that use the boards to whinge have had this problem in the last 22 months, as this is the time since the last post, before yours, on this thread.

Why have you lost your money? If it's within 30 days since the last estimated arrival date, open an item not as described dispute to get your money back. If you open it through ebay the seller has to pay for the return postage if they want it back. If it's more than 30 days, open a dispute through PayPal. Unless you've signed up for their free return promotion thing prior to opening the dispute, you'll have to pay the return postage to send it back.
