What feedback?

I bought a cheap item with free post from a chinese seller.  It arrived promptly and was a good transaction all round.  however, the item itself is a piece of **bleep**.  (surprise, surpise!)

I don't want a refund - I realise you get what you pay for. I do not want to punish the seller either. My dilema is what feedback to leave, that will help future buyers.  What will hurt the seller the least, a nuetral or low dsr's on product description?

I have bought a lot of cheapies from chinese sellers, some good, some very bad.  It's a risk I am willing to take; but some buyers don't want to take the risk, so information about the item should be able to help prospective buyers.

Re: NORH CD Player TWIN TUBE (From TSE AUDIOVISUAL CAMBERWELL VIC/AUSTRALIA)

I do think buyers have a bit of a cheek to give neg feedback saying quality was poor ( item is still useable, but the quality of build or materials it is made from is low quality) when the item was sold for a very low cost.

e.g. ladies wool coat from China for $16... still wearable, but quality poor.... how much would a wool coat cost in Aust. stores? At least $70 up to $250+. Should a buyer expect a $16 wool coat to be good quality?

If the item is dead on arrival, broken, failed to work shortly after purchase and not usable, the seller should be given the chance to refund or replace.

Re: NORH CD Player TWIN TUBE (From TSE AUDIOVISUAL CAMBERWELL VIC/AUSTRALIA)

I'm sorry you were ripped off with your CD player, but why did you buy it off eBay? The only one who benefits in such cases is the seller, so didn't you think it strange that he would ask you to relinquish your buyer protection be removing it from eBay before offering to sell it to you?

By paying cash, you lost any hope of resolution through either eBay or Paypal, and there's really not a damn thing you can do about it. In fact, you can't even name and shame him as you've done on your message above, and I expect the mods will be along soon enough to delete the seller's name and business details.

It's an expensive lesson you've learned, and I'm sure you won't be silly enough to do it again. Having said that, the unit appears to be reasonably intact apart from the non-genuine parts fitted, so you're very lucky it wasn't a whole lot worse.

Re: NORH CD Player TWIN TUBE (From TSE AUDIOVISUAL CAMBERWELL VIC/AUSTRALIA)

I made the Statement About The SELLER, Due to THE Fact that ,I was Told that it Was a ORIGINAL and That The REMOTE CONTROL Works FLASSELY and Did not Receive The Remote, And I believe that If The CD is a ORIGINAL Thats Manufactured By NIRH in TAIWAN that They would not Change the TOP Cover and Replace it With a PIONEER COVER, and I was Told that The 2 X 12AX 7 TUBES was Replaced before Advertising the unit on E Bay, TO Change The or to Update The Tubes The Top cover Will have to be Opened up, and EVEN a BLIND MAN or WOMAN could SEE that it is NOT ORIGINAL .

Thats why I stated That The Seller was DISHONEST in Making his Statements.

Re: NORH CD Player TWIN TUBE (From TSE AUDIOVISUAL CAMBERWELL VIC/AUSTRALIA)

I too bought a Music Angel intergrated tube amp from china. And it broke down withing 2 weeks of receiving. And i had difgiculty in getting parts . And the amp looks great. But when pulled spart it was all rubbish parts inside it.i ended up spending over $ 1350 for the p. And ibhad to dispose it in the Garbage Bin . As every technician here in australia. Stated that it was rubbish with very cheap components. My sdvise is pay the extra and either get usa built or english built or german or dutch built amps that have a good reputation. And never trust the chinese makes. As they are very nadty profucts. Kind rgds

I am sure the OP, who probably is too smart to buy electronics from China, is thrilled to know that, 14 months after they posted the question. Which you didn't answer, btw.

I think feedback can help other buyers.

I would give a positive but say something like, good seller, quick to post, but this item was cheap & nasty.

edit. Oh dear, it's an old post. Sorry, I thought it was current, hadn't checked the original dates.
