What has happened to the sizes when refining my search?

I have noticed just in the past few days that the sizing has changed when searching in womens fashion.  In jeans for example, my search is only showing maybe 100 listings in say sizes 8 and 10 and then 10,000 listings under not specified.  Has ebay changed the sizing system when listing clothes to sell and are people getting so confused they're not even bothering to state the size anymore or is this just happening with me?  It's getting really frustrating!

ebay has of last week updated some item categories now which include a sizing type eg. petite regular etc

I always thought this very american, I dont think many sellers have updated or added to these new specs yet

Yep, it's just changed in Turbo Lister too (where a lot of sellers would create their listings).  Now if you don't put in a 'size type' (ie regular, petite, plus etc) it won't even let you put in a size!! I know because I tried to ignore the 'size type' box and every time I then tried to add in 'Size' by myself, Turbo Lister would totally crash and burn!! Very frustrating!! You might have to rely on putting the size into the search title for a while until people realise and change their listings.

Hmmm - wonder if it's taken the size right off of listings that are already out there? I sure hope not!!!!

happens when you relist on site too. Original size box is stil there but the search bots are probably not picking it up. Some of the other specifics are missing too and need to be rentered.

during transitional period searching by specifics is going to be hit and miss.

I think it is a way to force sellers to use items specifics, hopefully not all the irrelevent recommendations too. That way they can eventiuall get rid of individual sellers descriptions and make all listings look the same.

That could cause a bit of mayhem as some people don't see themselves as others see them and will pick the

"term" that they believe should be them.

Item specifics are now pointless on some of the items that I've listed in the past as the genre has been

removed,(eg: Caravan & Motorhome DVD's used to have a travel genre but it has been removed and there is no applicable one for it now),Who knows.gif

I was selling them on a fairly regular basis until they removed the genre,stubborn_smiley_by_mirz123-d4bt0te_zps12f1a5a3.gif

Once they make all listings look the same, buyers will simply buy the cheapest and then the "fun" will begin,Sunnies.gif
