What is the gst 10% thing about?

Just a simple question. There is an item i want to bid ending pretty soon. It says 10% GST on the item. Does that mean that after winning the bid a  10% is finally added on for me to pay e.g. bid is $150 therefore i win that, and pay $15? Also is the GST included with the postage price??

quick answer because the auction ends soon.

10% is added to the final price AND on the postage AND on the fee charged if the item is being shipped via GSP (Pitney Bowes)

Obviously it is an overseas item to attract the extra GST.   So yes  GST applies to the total invoice including postage, plus any other import charges that may be applied.
