When is Enough Enough

Fake products sold

Products sold not as described.

Sellers accounts in Australia when they are over seas.

Cant even get the Legal details of the Seller that I am entitled to by law, ( Australian Business Name and Number as well as direct contact number)

Seller still selling the same fake products after Ebay has been informed.

Seller still not suppling any contact details.

How many others out there face this? the only thing I can think of why Ebay does not control this is they only make money off each sale!!

My current Problem is with Seller "ozmarket2011" Danby Humidifier. advertsied as NEW.

Turns up, direct from China, Its a Fake copy, Its second hand, No Manual, Its dirty, Its not approved to be used in Australia, Its also broken and the power plug is UK!!!!!   The wheels underneath are very well worn and dirty from being used and pushed around......

The seller did not even ask for details or pictures of problems, they send me $5 junk and charge me $499 plus postage, now I have to pay for postage to send it back, yet under Australian law its fradulent to advertise an item that is far different from

Seller will not provide contact details, Nor will Ebay Help me, Seller is still selling these products, Seller offers me $100 cash back... what a joke, or they will refund but I have to pay for it to be sent back!!  what a joke, they do as they please and the buyers just Pay yet without Buyers where would Ebay BE.

Oh yeah and you call the call centre somewhere in the world and they follow a script as common sense is not heard of from my experince.

All above is my opionon only based on the current facts.

Dude its illegal to send back the fradulent product!

If you get ripped off for any product that is fake you point out that its against the law to send back the fradulent product as its evidence.

If Palpal insists then you highlight that they are requesting you to do an illgal act as the item is now evidence and if they dont refund the money etc then you will have no choice but to contact the police and advise them what Paypal has requested and then open a case with the police for fraud!

The sellers know they can not only rip you off but make you pay to have it sent back, so its a win win for them as they resell the item as this guy still is selling his items after EBAY has been advised.

Its clear who makes the money any who is at risk!

OP - you need to read up a bit more on eBay policy - the item you have listed yourself states 'I can end the auction at any time as I have it listed elsewhere also'. I am afraid to say that this is not the case, you can not list elsewhere while listed on eBay.And in my humble opinion the wording of the ad may appear like you are hoping to attract a sale {off eBay} using eBay forums?

Re: When is Enough Enough

you don't have to send the item back, all you need to do is get a written letter/email that the product is fake, and paypal will ask you to destroy it. thats it.

Send it back COD. then the suckers have to pay!!

With Ebay being to LAZY to do anything about fraudulent/Fake items is nothing new.

I was in a similar stuation where i was sold a win 7 fake. Ebay DID NOTHING,

Yeah they delete a few items to keep the masses happy but you can call, email till you are blue in the face.

and just yesterday i reported some one using a fraudulent listing and the site still hasnt changed its product description. I bet Ebay does nothing.

Now you do something and list say copied Xbox360 games. I bet for some god forgiven reason and i dont know why but Ebay will remove it the next day, try it and see what happens!

Maybe the other fake items are to 'hard'..god knows.

Re: When is Enough Enough

Ohh and by the way PAYPAL FEES are YOUR responsibility NOT the buyer. If a buyer pays through PayPal then YOU pay the fee.
