When you report a seller for suspected "shill bidding" nothing seems to be done?

I recently reported a seller whom I suspected of "shill bidding" and nothing has been done as the seller is still selling. If the item does not sell for a price the seller wants a "'shill bid" is made and shortly after it is relisted with the "shill bidder" bidding again on that same item.

Ebay say they dont disclose their actions for "privacy" reasons. Tell that to someone who has been ripped off. Imagine the police giving you that excuse.

You could take note of the seller and NOT BUY from them.

It's clear they don't want to sell anything.

Eventually they might get with the program and realise their expectations are too high.

If it is indeed  'shill bidding'  then they are paying fvf every time it

doesn't sell.   Pretty stupid I'd say

I doubt if that is the case, if they are shilling then I am sure they are offering and accepting mutual cancellations from each of themselves.

Ebay have to have actual proof of shilling, in other words there must be some point of commonality between the two accounts such as address, phone number, surname, isp or similar. If it is two individuals colluding then ebay will be unable to prove it. Successful shillers rarely win the item they are upping the price on, that would make it pointless. Bid your max in the last few seconds and then you either get the item you want at a price you are happy with or you don't.

It's not that they have two accounts It's the same buyer on ALL their auctions who is bidding. They drop out of the bid when..in my opinion the seller has happy with the bid price. When the "shill bidder" wins the auction the item is soon relisted and..you guessed it...the winning bidder in the previous auction is bidding again. This buyer has made hundreds of bids on all the sellers items. If that is not enough proof...what is.

I wrote to Ebay a second time in response to their reply to me 2 weeks ago and I have not had the courtesy of a reply. Ebay seem to be a law unto themselves choosing NOT to disclose to a complaintant the result of their investigations..Most law enforcement agencies let the complainant know..NOT Ebay

I forgot to mention...The sellers items sell. However if the price does not reach the sellers price the shill bidder is the winning bidder. In 4 out of 6 of their recent auctions the shill bidder had the winning bid. The items are NOT relisted, it is a new auction and the shill bidder is again bidding on the same item they recently "won".
