I bid on a fish tank last weekend, got outbid, then on thursday I got a second chance offer, which I accepted, send email to seller asking when to pick up, he said saturday morning, so I sent email saying time and asking him for his address.....didnt hear from him, have sent another two, still nothing.
So, my husband has now found on ebay a fish tank that he likes and is BIN........what I want to know is, where do I stand in regards to the second chance offer?

could you ring him perhaps? - the phone number is available to you through ebay
I wouldn't buy the other just yet, you might end up with 2!

I rang again, got through, the bloke reckons that the first buyer has decided they want it, and to make sure, he wants me to ring tomorrow and he will tell me yes or know.
Sounds not right to me, dont know what to do?

a second chance offer surely has less obligation attached to it, personally i'd move on to the next one. especially as he seems to be holding out in that way, which is unfair i think.
you.. as the buyer are holding all the cards anyway. i wouldn't be waiting around as his 'other ' option 🙂

bit of a problem though if you accepted the offer, you will have an unpaid item against you?

i would not worry about that; I am sure eBay would remove any strike if you call and explain what happened. It is the seller's problem, they should not have make 2nd chance offer before finalising the transaction with the 1st buyer.

The guy has decided to sell it to the buyer that won the auction.
