Why can't I see "watch this item" when browsing?

I have been browsing through some jewellery and looking at 200 items per page list format and most items have the little "watch this item" underneath the title and other info but some items don't have the watch this item for me to click on.

I have noticed it has been mainly one seller and they are Ice Jewellery Online and they are the seller I want to be able to click on their items to watch.

Why is this option not available unless I actually look at the item listing and then I can choose to watch it.

Having to open up every listing is a real time waster.

because eBay is doing everything in their power to provide you with a frustrating and inconvenient an enjoyable and rewarding, fully interactive buying experience.

Might be a tonight thing though, I had some issues earlier on in my store - rang eBay and they said they were doing some emergency maintenance.

You may need to customise your view to bring back the Watch this Item link. It keeps disappearing on me too.

At the top right of your search click on View > Customise > Watch this Item link > Apply changes.

Oh lordy, ebay doing emergency maintenance !!!

That must mean the whole world wide ebay system must be within a byte of total collapse.

ebay can't even do normal maintenace efficiently so things must be bad if it is an emergency.

Re: Why can't I see "watch this item" when browsing?

it was a bit scary there for a bit bump. Things I had posted 2 weeks ago were suddenly appearing in my "you need to post section"

other orders were marked as unsent, but then marked resent but with today's date.

oh, and then there was the small issue of some items jumping store categories! Like back during migration. I'd list them somewhere and they would turn up somewhere else!

oh, and then the item that multiplied in price 5 times in checkout. Customer bought it and it said $30, when they went to check out, it was charging her $150!

Re: Why can't I see "watch this item" when browsing?

I have tried changing the settings as suggested and the watch this item was already ticked and I saved the changes and refreshed the page but it didn't help.

All auctions have the options and most of the BINs have the option but not this seller, why?

Re: Why can't I see "watch this item" when browsing?

Any listing with variations will not have the "watch" link showing in the search results, as you have to go into the listing, select the option(s) for the item, then the watch function becomes available.

I see some of their listings have variations and some don't - if you view all of their listings, are you able to see the watch link on the listings without variations?

LOLOLOL

anywhere else but eBay that would sound kinda creepy LOL

(they don't want you to watch their items, they want you to BUY them)

come to think of it, at least that way they should show up in one of your lists, seeing as you can't get them into your WI list...

there ya go problem solved!

I like to help.
