Why does China post take so long  when post from UK & USA  is received within 7 to 10 days???

Your not helpful, just seeing a chance to jump on your soapbox. Lots of goods are purchased in China privately or commercially. How does this take jobs from Aussies pray tell? Do we make those items? Answer for those who are mentally challenged and/or do not think things through before posting on the web, it does not.
To answer OP which is what this forum is about; answering and helping people, I believe many Chinese sellers have nil stock on hand and order the items themselves once an eBay buyer pays for the item. It's a bit like drop shipping. The time it takes for the item to arrive to the eBay seller from the factory and then posted by the seller to the buyer is added on to the time it takes to arrive to you here in Oz. If customs decide to open and peek inside it can take a bit longer but I have received items that have been scrutinised and they have still arrived in good time. I'm not going to blame customs, it has to be the sellers not having stock. Many work from their homes I am led to believe and maybe have limited room for items that may sit for weeks or more.
Tip: Always look for the simplest reason/answer. You won't go far wrong.

I always figured that the seller was waiting for a shipping container to fill up and then it was shipped off, wait to get unloaded at next stop then put in the particular delivery system available. How ever, I have usually had my items delivered by their given earliest date of delivery, but if it was something of value or importance I order closer to home. my 10c worth
