Why does this occur?

I've just had an experience where an auction buyer outbid me, but he/she was 3 seconds late with the final and it went through to him/her.

Not good enough. If an auction finishes at 16:05, that's when the final bid take hold - not 3 seconds after!

Here is a link to the bidding history:

which I might add is still not available on My eBay account page. I had to get the link from eBay's Support.

And I'm still waiting for the e-mail that contains a transcript of the live chat.

So much for eBay's auctioning process. It will be may last attempt - EVER.

OP, the link you gave shows

  • Time Ended:
    28 Feb 2019 at 16:05:29 AEDST

Winning bid

28 Feb 2019 at 16:05:03 AEDST

Not seeing the problem, end time was 16:05:29  NOT 16:05:00

How raspberry dare you, enigmabear! The post should surely have been posted by 5:06 PM, not a second later, but I see that your post changed at 5:07 PM, and you even admit that you were "too slow" in the following post. Plots! Treachery! Conspiracy!

This post has been made in the purest spirit of friendly jest, and without any wicked intention.
