I tend not to reply to posts I'm fairly sure will be redacted. I try to facilitate the redaction.

I did both, there have been several lately that have remained despite being removal worthy but have'nt been after reporting so I was feeling a little 'why bother' but did it anyway

Ideally, if a post is deleted, either all replies should be deleted too, or replies should show as replying to the poster whose post has been deleted, and if one clicks on their name, it should say something like "this post has been deleted" or "this post is not available". It is a bit of a glitch that replies show as replying to somebody else...
