I have tried to buy a brush cutter 4 times now (once on my wife's buying site) but the seller or sellers have cancelled my purchase and refunded. They claim due to logistics? I assume that as I live in WA and they live in the eastern states I live too far and postage would cost extra to send? I have asked if it is extra but get no reply.
Asked eBay for help (can not find phone contact) online, they said to ask before you buy if they will post to WA. Altogether I have asked 15 sellers if they will post to WA only one replied saying we will let you know (they didn't) I am beginning to think that a lot of these sellers are one and the same?
eBay said the can not do this and they will be removed (they are not) and that I can leave neg feedback (I can not as they refunded).
I have 100% positive feedback 1000+, whats going on? how can I buy a brush cutter and how do sellers get away with this? And finally how can I speak to someone from eBay on the phone?
Thanks to anyone who can help and enlighten me. Ron

I can recommend Stihl. Which I bought from my local Stihl shop. It's 1.5 metres long though, so not AP applicable.
Mitre 10 would surely have at least one reasonable brand, though. So the complainer's problem is solved.

I have a push-button electric start lawnmower by Toro. It’s superb. Based on its excellent performance, I’m holding out for a Toro whipper snipper/edge trimmer equivalent.
They may now be available in Australia. I phoned the local distributor two months ago and that’s what they indicated.
The OP could do worse than choosing the nearest specialist store and going in person, even if it’s a bit of a trip.
By the way, it’s not just because the Toro is red. It’s not. I repeat, it’s not.

My lawnmower's GREEN countess (matches the paddocks in winter). It's a John Deere...and cuts 42 inches at a time.

My grass isn’t 42 inches high...

Our ROVER ride on is RED. A gorgeous fire engine red. Even more beautiful than the Toro that it replaced. It glistens in the sunshine. I drool every time I see it. Bootiful redness goodness! I would take a photo, but it's almost 12.30am and I'm not going outside now. Otherwise the pets will want to come inside.

@padi*0409 wrote:No Bunnings here Dave, just Mitre 10 and a couple of stores that sell brush-cutters etc. Nearest Bunnings is Bunbury/Bussleton. I would only buy that sort of equipment if it was one of the big-name brands, Stihl, Husqvarna etc anyway - too many el cheapo Chinese copies around for my liking.
Maybe if you and the OP lived somewhere half decent, you'd have access to Bunnings, and the weekend sausage sizzles. Ooooohhhhhh, Bunnings sausage sizzle. I cried when they started them up again! I missed them sooooo much!
Busso is only about 3 hours away. It could be a nice leisurely drive for the OP to go to Bunnings, on a weekend of course, for the sausage sizzle! Or they could support local businesses.

Stil is more than 10x the price and still made in China, so unless you want to cover the difference the complainers problem is not solved
