Hi
I have just received some shorts and they are too small. If the seller accepts my return do they have to return my original postage cost plus my winning bid, or is it just the winning bid they will refund?
I know I will have to pay the return postage cost.
Thank you

It depends.....are the shorts as described?
Are they the correct size, colour etc?
If they are as described and the seller has not made a mistake then you are only entitled to get the item price refunded if the seller accepts the refund.
If the seller has sent the wrong size or colour etc then you are entitled to a full refund of the original item price plus the original postage and by rights the seller should also pay for the return of the item.

That's exactly what I would have thought too, Lyndal.
For a change of mind return, the buyer pays to return the item.
That's fair enough because sellers have paid for the postage and would be out of pocket if they had to refund you over goods that are not defective. Buying clothes & shoes online is always a little bit of a risk a buyer takes.
djd9794, you should thank your lucky stars that if a seller accepts a return, you will at least get all the item cost back.
On some other sites, for a change of mind return, you not only pay return postage but a restocking fee.
I think if you are in ebay plus and buy from an ebay plus seller, then there may be free returns for any reason but I am not 100% sure as I am not in it.
If you like buying clothes online though, it could be worth checking out.

Is the seller also in The UK?
If they are here in Oz, it *could* work out cheaper/easier for you to sell them yourself instead of returning them, if it means sending them back overseas?

If paypal still allows 8 free returns a year (up to $45 postage each time, I believe), sign up for that before you return them and at least it'll cost you nothing to return them.
I think that would only apply if the OP opens (and wins) an INAD dispute with Paypal brer.
