My do not recommend seller list/forum
*For a hassle free buying experience stay away from this seller.:
My negative feedback: "Dishonest Asian Seller who refused to give return postage label for lens hood that arrived damaged. He gave a China false? address for the item to be sent back then a NSW one. A case was opened & through eBay, I sent the item back using a return postage coupon provided by eBay to the seller's NSW registered addrs with ebay, & my money was refunded from eBay on delivery. Seller is devious giving a China address so BUYER BEWARE: don't deal with this unhelpful seller as he is only problematic!!"

Only been a member for 3 yrs, so I suppose it is understandable that you do not understand ebay policies.
As a buyer you can only ever have 100% FB. Non payment strikes have nothing to do with FB, and are not visible to other members.
Sellers have no option to leave buyers -FB
You can leave Feedback for several items at a time, or do it one by one.

Well, that went well for you, didn't it? You initial post was rightfully edited. Looking at your feedback left for others, aren't you an absolute delight? You have been added to many a party list. Good luck trying to buy from anyone that comes to the forums.

Canon, I've arrived a bit late and I can't see the name of the seller nor can I find that neg feedback you gave.
On this forum, we are not allowed to explictly name sellers although we can put up item numbers & then members can look at the actual ad. As you have seen, if you do name a seller, a moderator will remove that. This is only a smallish forum anyway and the odds of any of us having dealt with some of the same Chinese sellers is extremely low.
Unlike others, I don't have a big problem with the feedback you give as I think it is explicit enough to be helpful & also mixed. When something is good, you give credit.
Here are some tips that might help with your buying so you can eliminate more of the negative buying experiences.
1. Look at the % feedback an ID has as a seller before you buy. If it is a big volume seller with a feedback rating under 99%, make sure you go into the feedback to read the negs and neutrals.
Sometimes if you just scroll through recent feedback, you might see a lot of positives, so you need to click on 'See all feedback' then click on the number in the negs column.
If it is a small seller, they may have a bad looking % just from one neg, so again, you need to check those negs to see if they sound reasonable or not and make your decision to buy based on that. Usually, if a seller has a lot of negs, it is safer to look elsewhere.
2. You will also see where the seller is located. Chinese sellers can be okay, I'm not trying to put them all down, but be very careful what type of item you buy, put it that way. Nothing electronic, car parts etc. Nothing where Australian safety standards are needed.
It's always going to be easier with returns etc (if needed) if you have bought from an Australian based seller.
--------------------------------
I used to sell many years ago and back then, sellers could give negative feedback to a buyer, but all that stopped many years ago. Buyers can now give a neg to a seller but not vice versa.
Some sellers try to overcome this by giving positive feedback with a neg comment. Against the rules and they can be in trouble with ebay if reported.
As I said, I can't see your neg feedback with that particular comment. There are also rules buyers have to follow with feedback and mentioning an ebay dispute is a no-no. A seller can get your comment removed of they report it and that may have happened to you.
If a seller sends something faulty or doesn't send at all, you can open an ebay claim, for sure, and the seller can't afford to have that happen too regularly but others are right in that no one except ebay can see those details.
And I did notice that you gave a neg, well several, to a company I have bought from, I won't name them but an Australian company based in Kensington. I think, from your feedback, you bought tea towels.
I have bought from them a few times and always had 100% good experiences, I think they are quite ethical so it may have been a good idea to contact them with photos of your problem as they may have been able to clarify things for you or fix things.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Further, in response to your advise, the item number in question of the purchased item for this forum that took place yesterday is: 374952819301 ("ET -78II Camera Mount Lens Hood For EF 135mm F2L 180mm F3.5L USM Lens HOM").👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

you just love supporting borderline sellers, no wonder most of the feedback you leave is negative. Self imposed issue really.

Ah, I see it. This is the very sort of ad that sucks in some buyers because they see the location, Melbourne, and think they are buying from an aussie seller.
This often isn't so. It is legal for these Chinese sellers to have stock warehoused here. Sometimes your item will come from that warehouse, occasionally they will actually post it from overseas.
What I particularly do not like about that seller is the fact he asked you to post back to China. The Chinese get postage subsidies and we don't so that seller was hoping you wouldn't bother as the postage could outweigh the cost of the item.
But if they advertise as item located in Australia, they need to give an aussie address and if the item is damaged, then they need to provide the postage label, not you. Don't let any seller tell you any different.
I am so glad you got in contact with ebay and they dealt with it.
This is a classic case where you may have received a better picture of the situation had you done a few things before buying.
1. Clicked on the sellers feedback rating & from there, to see 'all feedback'. The very first neg feedback warns people it is not Melbourne stock, it is coming from China. Several mention lateness of arrival & the fact the items weren't good quality or as expected.
The seller's feedback rating is 98.3% which puts them in the 'Take caution' range.
Some people here suggest 99.5% or above for big sellers.
I actually think that seller does have stock in Australia, he was just extremely shifty trying to tell you you had to post back to China.
2, Looking at his feedback ratings also exposes he is registered in China. So you know straight off your're dealing with someone overseas, supporting Chinese business.
I know there is this idea around that great stuff can be had on ebay for very cheap prices & that Chinese things are even better bargains but what I have found is to be wary as often you get what you pay for.
Just take care out there and happy Christmas to you too!
