I recently ordered a few packages of ebay but i didnt realise when i originally entered my address it changed it to a suggested one, but the thing is i was using a package hold address for my post office and the suggested address just got rid of the address line with my package hold number, im wondering if ebay allows for adding address lines after purchases or if sellers cant change the address at all and if i have any options at all or do i have to try work this out with my post office.

I would notify the sellers straight away with the correct address.

Can you see your items in Australia Post tracking?

If they have already been sent by the seller, maybe you have time to redirect them through their tracking site.

Keep in mind that the seller must send to the address on the paypal notification or they have no protection.

Your postal address shows up on the LH side of the page, each time you purchase something and before you click confirm. There is a blue " change " icon under the address to change it at that point. You can also change your postal address permenantly through account settings.

As already suggested, best to contact sellers straight away and advise of the mistake. Some sellers ( me included ) will send to a different address, others wont.

The reason many sellers refuse to co-operate is because of the way ebay and papal have structured their buyer protection policies. If the parcel is sent to a different address, the tracking will show this and the seller loses all protections if the item does not arrive. ie the seller repays the buyers purchase price and postage costs should an item not recieved case be opened by the buyer.

If the address is to your local PO they'll probably hold it for you a few days anyway. Lots of people who are travelling get their mail sent to a PO where they can pick it up. I'd contact the PO and see what they say.
