Why do people upbid each other on an ebay item when there is still 5 days to go..is it the thrill of the auction,inexperience or something else motivating them, doesnt make sense. Good for the seller,bad for the bargain hunter. I note items sell close to the full retail price..might as well buy it from a store. I usually give up and let them pay over the inflated price for an item.
Probably inexperience, though shill-bidding has been known to happen in auctions. Me, I will always put in my top bid in the last 30 seconds of an auction.
