Other members can't tell you why
Sellers can block a buyer for many reasons, not just non payment
Have you bought several things from the seller(s) already in a short period?
Do you have a PO Box?
Are any overseas sellers who do not post to Australia ?
Do you bid on things and then request to cancel?
Have you tried just buying without adding to your cart?
Are you able to send the seller(s) a message and ask, or are you blocked from sending a message as well as bidding?
Not sure what you mean by good ratings, buyers can only get positive feedback
And so you should always pay for the things you buy

You have a history of buying plants.
Could it be due to the many restrictions on interstate transfer of plants.

Thank you. I think I may have purchased from them previously and left feedback they might not have been happy with. Looking at their feedback for the past year the complaints were much the same as I have said on a couple of occasions. I bought pearls, and while they are pretty they aren't real pearls as was claimed which is what I said.

Thank you. It's not plants, it's pearls. I checked the sellers feedback and think I might have purchased from them last year. They were advertised as genuine pearls and gemstones but they aren't real pearls and the gemstones are plastic. I said while pretty they aren't real and not as advertised. It may have upset the seller who did argue that I don't know about pearls, but they are wrong as I know a lot about pearls.

If you tell the seller you believe they are selling fakes, why would you -
a) want to buy from them;
b) not think they would block you?

I didn't know who the seller was until I checked their feedback.

And you could be quite correct. They may not be genuine pearls, especially if they are getting a fair bit of feedback that says the same thing.
The trouble is that after your last feedback comment, the sellerr may have blocked you from buying again. A seller can do that for any reason they like & one reason in this case is the seller might worry that if you bought again you might open an ebay claim for item not as described, and you'd likely win and the buyer would be out of pocket.
Personally, if you think the seller is not describing pearls correctly, I would steer clear of buying from them again anyway.
That doesn't explain why it is happening with other sellers but it could be for any of the reasons sandypebbles outlined eg location. It would be unlikely those sellers have blocked you beforehand if you have never bid with them before.

Sometimes one person has more than one selling site. Perhaps they feel they will sell more if they are on more than one site. I will steer clear of them and stay with sites I have found to be reputable.

I buy pearls - but only from highly reputable pearl specialists.
No seller who fobbed me off with fake pearls would see me again, except when I had them eaten by a giant oyster.
