can a seller end an auction early if there are bids in place and it is a no reserve auction. And then not even apologise for it.

yes, but they have to cancel the bids first, and I believe that here on eBay they can only do it if there are 12 or more hours to go on the auction.

Yes they can.
You could always ask the seller to apologise. This would almost certainly mean you would not inadvertently buy something from them in the future.

thanks just think it is a bit rude to not let you know your gonna do it.... and ebay should notify you it has been cancelled.

Why would a seller want to apologise for doing something that is perfectly acceptable to ebay, you are informed your bid has been cancelled and the item is no longer for sale so that you can look elsewhere, why do you need anything more?
