complaint regarding listing

Hi

I would like to know why a seller is able to list an item stating it is in Australia, this item stated to be in NSW Sydney and when I went to pay for it the payment was charged as usual on the ebay checkout page....... yet a foreign exchange fee was also charged to my card without this being visible on the ebay checkout page.

Also Why is a seller allowed to list the item stating it is in Australia and yet it is delivered from overseas.

eBay will accept the statement from overseas sellers claiming they have stock in Australia.

Most do, but there are a lot of sellers in Asia who claim that when it's not true. You can report the item for false location claims, but that report will probably be ignored, particularly if it's a Chinese seller.

Make your feelings known in the feedback you leave for the transaction.

Did you check the seller's feedback before you bought

That would have shown where the seller is registered and their feedback will show if they lie about where the item is posted from

That way you avoid the issue

There information is clearly available before buying

two of you three most recent feedback is from sellers in China

What is the item number

The foreign trasaction fee, relates to where the payment is being forwarded to.  IE: the sellers country of registration.  It does not relate to where the item is actually or normally located.
