eBay order total keeps changing

Hi, I bought an item and paid for it a few hours after listing ended, order total was $56 at time of payment, a few hours later the order total had gone up $5 to $61, then a few hours later it went up another $1.  I’m confused, can someone help

That doesn't sound right at all. Did you buy an item from Australia?

If so, then I can't think of any reason why the total would change. It shouldn't. Postage amount is usually included in the listing and in the total at checkout.

If you bought from eg the American or UK ebay site, then all i can think of is it was the conversion amount into Australian dollars that changed but it should not have changed by that much.

Or perhaps it is just an ebay glitch. 

But if you have paid for the item and it is showing in the 'my ebay' section as paid, then you should be right. You do not have to pay more for an item once it has been paid in full at checkout.

Just thought, overseas purchases have GST added, but all the same, that should come up in the total when you pay and a completed transaction should be showing just as you completed it.

If it was an International item then you have probably seen different exchange rates.

ebay's rates will show differently to PayPal's rates.

I often purchase from USA and UK, the price shown in AU$ in the listing is often considerably different to the price I pay in PayPal. (GST aside)
