today something weird happened. the seller said i paid through echeque or eft? I dont know how? i always pay the same way - Paypal. but the funds haven't cleared from my bank? im confused?

So you are saying that the money has come out of your bank...paypal says you have paid? But the seller has not received the money?
That scenario usually means that the seller has not put the correct email address on their listings. They would be told by paypal that they need to claim the payments.
But I don't understand how the seller could send you one item. Or was one item paid for seperately?
Other than the above scenario I am lost, sorry.

or paypal have the funds in escrow - as perhaps the seller has the wrong email in the paypal account, as Lyndal said, you need to contact paypal and get them to sort it out or explain what has gone wrong.

I paid for them all at once

This is like pulling hen's teeth. You have now been told twice to RING paypal on their Freecall 1800 number as they are the only ones who can help you.

And I've already stated I HAVE CALLED PAYPAL and they don't know what's going on

Ok, they're just trying to help you, ok?
I know this is worrisome and frustrating.
On your puchase list, is there a symbol of either a dollar sign or an hourglass? Or is there nothing there at all?
In the meantime, here is what I advise.
Ring eBay. Let them know you are trying to pay, explain what is happening. They probably won't be able to do anything, but get them to put a note on your account in case you need to fight a UID down the track.
Now, you say the entire amount for several items has come out of your bank account.
Is this all in one transaction?
Another thought is do you have a secondary funding source attached to your PayPal account, so if the funds are declined through your credit card, they get drawn from a bank account?
Just tryiong to work out why a payment for one went through instantly and the others are on echeque
Yes, the money leaves your account instantly, but PayPal doewsn't get it for a few days. When our funds clear instantly, this isn't because PayPal has received the money, they carry the money for a few days, and pay on your behalf, until they receive the money from the bank.
So, check your PayPal account. What does your overview account say?
Does it say that your seller has received the cost of one amount, but the rest is pending (so probably separate entries)
Were all the items paid for on one invoice, or were they paid at the same time, but attracted separate entries on your PayPal overview Statement.
Do you have a reacipr email from PayPal. It will tell you if you have sent the money or an echeque.
Regardless, the money leaves your bank Account balance straight away, but PayPal will only fund those in advance from a credit/debit card.
Next step is to then ring your bank and querie the transaction. Ask them where the money was sent to and from where it came. It sounds to me like they have drawn some from a credit/debit card, but the rest from the account attached to it or the secondary account lodged with PayPal.
Firstly thopugh, let both your seller and eBay know what is happening and that you are trying to fix it. But iof the seller knows it is an eCheque, he won't be too worried.
How do you know you have paid by eCheque?

I think that you are notified that you have paid by echeque.
I sold a couple of things on ebayuk and she paid in pounds. She did not receive the letter I sent, so I refunded her on the transaction thingo in Paypal, but it was sent as an echeque and she didn't get it for 2 weeks!
I had the quids in my account ( still have, lurking around the last column) but when I asked why it was sent as an echeque, Paypal told me that I did not have funds in that currency.
I had pounds (that she had paid and are still there) and more than enough Au to cover it.
It still perplexes me.

Is this all in one transaction? - Different transcations, but for the exact same amount as my purchases
Another thought is do you have a secondary funding source attached to your PayPal account, so if the funds are declined through your credit card, they get drawn from a bank account? - Bank account and MasterCard

How do you know you have paid by eCheque? - The funds didn't come out of my bank until the next day, if it was MasterCard, it would of been instant

Your picture says to me that you have paid. eBay should not be chasing you for money? Indicates it was all paid in one transaction. (for those 4 items) No mention of eCheques at all.

Just make sure they know you are trying to pay. That's all. They need to know that you are not trying to do a runner. Though from theior perspective it should look like you have paid in full.
Is this all in one transaction? - Different transcations, but for the exact same amount as my purchases You have opoaid altogether, so it has gone through as one transaction according to that picture.

I've forgotten sorry.
The funds coming out the next day doesn't matter, that happens to me all the time, especially if I pay on a weekend. That doesn't mean you paid by eCheque. After about 9pm friday Night, everything I pay for on PayPal doesn't come out of my bank account until Monday morning. (I have a debit card attached to my bank account)
I have to be very careful that I make sure i keep on top of what I've spent! I got caught a few times and had to transfer extra money in in a hurry!
What is showing in your PayPal account? Is it showing as the whole amount has been paid or some paid and the rest pending?
If the money is drawn from your CC, PayPal usually sends the request and pays on your behalf until the money makes its way through cyber space 3 to 5 days later.
If for some reason your CC was declined, it would revert to your second funding source which is your bank accountand this would show as pending, but your picture is not reflecting this.
so i reckon it's a case of your bank was just a bit slow in deducting the funds.
What is your seller telling you? That they opnly received payment for one??? (sorry I forgotz)

Have you contacted the seller ?? Pull the contact details so you can call them tomorrow and tell them what has happenned.
Maybe between the 2 of you it can be worked out, because to me it sounds like the seller has the wrong email address in the paypal section.
