bought an item from america ( i live in australia )
item never turned up
i asked the seller what the deal was
he said UPS/FedEx/Global Postage Service destroyed my package because they were told to
the above postage agencies said they would refund my full amount i paid plus any fees
i tried to lodge a case with paypal, but in all honesty the system is rather poor and it told me to enter a transaction ID for the bearings when i cant even find it anywhere.
i got sick of trying to contact ebay through emails and stuff, so can someone please give me a phone number i can call and talk to a real person and find out how to get my money back? thanks

At the bottom of every PayPal page (even the log in page) is a 'Contact Us' link. From there you have an option to call them. I've had to ring them a couple of times in the last few weeks and found them very helpful.

Calling ebay will not get your money back.
If you paid with paypal just go to the Resolution Centre in paypal and open a dispute for Item Not Received. You can find the Transaction ID by looking for the payment details in your paypal account. You just click on the Transaction ID and it is automatically entered into the dispute.

Log into your Paypal account > click on 'My Account' > click on 'View all my transactions' > at the top of the list of transactions, click on 'Select' & 3 months fom the drop down list - your transaction should show up it this section (that page shows the item ID).
Click on 'Details' - at the bottom of this page, there's a message about the resolution centre & this has to be done before 45 days. If it under 45 days, click on the link to the Resolution Centre.
Ring Paypal if U have no luck with these instructions, eBay will not help. The item ID should be on any of the emails from & to the seller if U are going thru eBay communications.
With the email U received from eBay saying U had won the item, the item ID should be in the subject line.

I left my previous reply above a bit too too long to edit, but if you can give Paypal the ebay item number, they may also be able to use that to match with the transaction number.

It sounds like you paid through paypal as a guest rather than used your account. The transaction should still show in your account though.
Did you get a receipt from paypal....that will show it.
I just looked at one of my receipts and it is at the very top of the page on the right hand side. It is called the Transaction ID and is a clickable link which takes you to the transaction in your paypal account.
