embargo restriction

Hi,

Does anyone know if Australia currently have embargo on cargoes from pakistan? I ask because I've just recently ordered a large harp from pakistan but just before the date the seller promised to ship the item he msged me saying that his airline notified him that due to embargo restriction that Australian goverment has imposed my harp will be on hold. Just a week ago that same person reassured me that I'd be able to receive the harp by next week now he's changing his words. Did Australia recently impose any new sanctions? When I searched some flights from Australia to pakistan it still seemed airlines were accepting flights from pakistan

Just to add, of course the seller can tell you that it's just the item and shipping you're paying for because:

1) He doesn't know what Australian customs may or may not charge you

2) It's easier to close the deal by saying "there's nothing more to pay".

3) He has no responsibility to be honest with you.

Which company is he using for courier - DHL?

A lot of the big courier companies have depots near the airport, but I doubt there is any place literally AT the airport for picking up packages, mostly for security reasons.

He told me I am the consignee so I am responsible for picking up the harp. He has no courier as harp will only be delivered to the airport. So on the day I have to pick up the harp form the airport as if I am the courier person but I don't even know whether I have access to cargo as a normal person or how far the cargo would be from the airport carpark. I heard carpark rates are expensive too so depending how far it is and how long the process will take I will be paying fair amount on parking as well. Plus I've never been to the airport in my life so anything could go wrong. I'd like to hire courier to pickup on my behalf but I don't know how to find one or how much they charge  

As for gst and custom seller did tell me about it at the time of transaction but he just told me it will be done outside of ebay and at the airport

Have you considered waiting until this harp arrives (it probably will not)?

I'll have to see. If the seller don't provide update on tracking by end of this week I won't trust this seller

Again - WHAT DOES YOUR INVOICE SAY? We've asked twice for you to tell us, but you refuse to give us the information. So...........did you pay outside of Ebay, such as wire transfer?

No. I didn't pay any gst on ebay just for item and shipping. I already told you that. I didn't pay seller anything outside of ebay

The more I read from this OP, the more frustrated I get! 

Let her go…. Learn a hard lesson,  might be the only way to go! 

I truly don’t give a rats ar$enal  what happens now, to her money or the damn harp!
