Hi,
Does anyone know if Australia currently have embargo on cargoes from pakistan? I ask because I've just recently ordered a large harp from pakistan but just before the date the seller promised to ship the item he msged me saying that his airline notified him that due to embargo restriction that Australian goverment has imposed my harp will be on hold. Just a week ago that same person reassured me that I'd be able to receive the harp by next week now he's changing his words. Did Australia recently impose any new sanctions? When I searched some flights from Australia to pakistan it still seemed airlines were accepting flights from pakistan

So what should I do? Wait until the expected date and apply for money back guarantee?
Also on my purchase history I can only find one expected delivery date rather than a range of date. Can I apply for MBG one day after that?

I still ordered from this seller because the feedback seem to suggest that they at least got their harp delivered

Yes and yes.
Don't fall into the trap of being told to wait by the seller.
Make sure you follow all the steps when you use the MBG.

Please provide the item# halfway down the listing on RHS.
The OP didn't put the username in, it was the type of harp they bought, so doubt it would be removed. Nor should it.
To the OP, all you can really do now is wait until the ETA and open an item not received dispute to get a refund. It's a heck of a lot of money, so you really need to get onto it as soon as you can. The seller isn't going to send, so pointless waiting and risk losing that amount of money. Make sure you escalate to a claim as soon as the dispute allows, if the seller hasn't manually refunded.
I did notice lots of other Mikel harps listed, so could be worth looking at some of those. If they are overseas, maybe ask the seller before buying if they are able to post to Australia. That could save more angst.

I apologise for such a major error on my part.
I have given myself an uppercut.

I did ask the seller if they can post to sydney airport and at the time of transaction the seller reassured me the harp will be built within15 days and shipped to sydney airport within 5 days. Then I waited for 15 days to ask if my harp was shipped then seller told me it will take 4-5 more days so I assumed maybe he meant it was 15 working days so I waited. Then after 4-5days ebay notified that item was shipped and seller sent me a msg at the same time that it was only forwarded to his shipping company which is bestwaycargo. He told me they are experiencing delays as they struggle to find a spot on the cargo due to the pandemic and it is expected to be shipped within 3-4 days. So I waited again just to be told that it is now on hold as Australian government has imposed embargo restrictions and it will be arriving sydney airport as soon as the restrictions lift. Idk but this whole embargo thing sounds like a lie

Unfortunately their reviews aren't great on the site below.

Yes I've read those reviews before purchasing this harp but they all seem to claim that quality of the harp itself is not bad for the price and the company did send the harp to their customers and no one actually suffered with no harp in the end so I decided to give them a try but now I think they are just making excuses out of pandemic

The thing that concerns me is that they may try delaying tactics so that you go beyond the time-frame for eBay's MBG dispute process, and find yourself in difficulties getting your money back. The Paypal process is not as easy from a buyer's perspective.

I like to trust this seller because of the way they gave discounts and free bag at the time of transaction after long negotiation but the way they are delaying things are worrying me. It maybe really the pandemic that's delaying things but I'm starting to get a feeling that they are playing delay tactics as you've said.
I have messaged the seller when the restriction is likely to lift but no reply for 10 hours so I sent them additional msg that I will only be waiting until the ETD
Ps. Is there any way I can cancel the order now?
Btw I used my credit card not paypal
