I just left feedback.

Can understand i cant leave feedback on postage when an item is post free,

This one had a note i could not give stars for communication.

Does the seller loose stars because i cant fill the stars in ---Richo,

Hi richo, if eBay doesn't register any communication between yourself and the seller then the seller is given an automatic 5 stars, just like for the free postage.

No, not at all. In this case it means that an automatic 5 star rating is given based on the fact that if you and the seller had no need to communicate, then the listing had all the necessary information for the buyer, therefore everything was all well communicated.

Not always true, but even in the case where you needed to contact the seller regarding something - size, delivery or whatever - and the seller responded quickly and helpfully, you can still leave 5 stars (or however many you like) manually.
