global shipping program

omg, what is wrong with you ebay, i'm so **bleep** right now,

i bought an item from the USA, usually goes through USPS, but you decided to change the rules and force me to wait an extra week (well in this case 2 weeks)to get it delivered, and on top of that, i got stung with a 29$ import fee, you keep this up and i will be deleting my ebay account for good. this is simply unacceptable.

normally 7-10 for an item from the US, not f 3 weeks you jackasses. this is unaceptable.

get rid of it, this is utter bull**bleep**.

You are not forced to buy from sellers who use the Global Shipping Program.

You would not be paying a $29 import fee....it would be the fees for Pitney Bowes to prepare the paperwork and repack the item for overseas shipment.

And you are not contacting ebay here...we are just members like you and do not deserve to be ranted at like you have done.

Re: global shipping program

Was the value of the item over $1000 (re import duty)?

i'm still thorougly disgusted...i've ranted at ebay over this and they bloody ignored me, so i'm posting this here in the hope they will see how utterly stupid they are for forcing this **bleep** on us.

Re: global shipping program

Your thread....public forum....anyone can answer.

Why did you not know it was the GSP...it is stated in the listing under postage.  You would have seen that there were no import charges if the item was less than $1000.

It is hardly surprising that ebay ignored you if you ranted at them as they are doing here......and they do not read or respond on the boards.

No wonder they ignored you if you ranted at them. No point posting a rant here to ram your point home, as eBay don't read the forums.

As already mentioned, it is plainly obvious on a US listing whether sellers use the GSP or not. Maybe you should try reading the listing instead of just looking at the photos, then you would have seen how they choose to ship.

FYI.....on the listing on the search page, you will see this under the title if they use the GSP

undefined

On the actual listing it will show this.

undefined

Notice where it says "this item will be shipped through the Global Shipping Program"? READ THE LISTINGS.

Re: global shipping program

AN ITEM THAT USE TO COST $14.00 POSTAGE IS NOW AS HIGH AS $30.00 AND TRY BUYING 5 ITEMS FROM THE SAME SELLER $150.00 " NO COMBINED SHIPPING POSSIBLE WHEN USING GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM " HOW RIDICULOUS...

Re: global shipping program

Firstly, PLEASE STOP YELLING.

If you want to buy multiple items from a seller that uses the GSP, message them BEFORE buying and ask if they would consider posting via USPS so you can combine shipping. If they say yes, make your purchases on the US eBay and then request an invoice via the shopping cart (our shopping cart can be a bit buggy). You need to request an invoice so they can send one as invoices can't be sent when they use the GSP.

If they say no, ask them if they could relist the items you want as a bulk lot so you can buy as one transaction, therefor effectively getting combined postage.

If they still say no, find a different seller.

Just so you know, it doesn't matter how angry you might be, there's absolutely no point leaving negative feedback or low DSRs for shipping because the GSP is protected by eBay and they will remove any negs or defects left by the buyer as a result, which is fair enough I suppose as it's hardly fair trashing the seller's feedback when it's not really their fault.
