how is checkout complete if i havent' transferred any money

How is checkout complete if i havent transferred any money? I hit pay now and it comes out you have already completed checkout.

usually the checkout complete happens when you have chosen to pay by bank deposit, you have confirmed you are going to pay by bank deposit, and then the ebay prompt says please arrange payment by direct bank deposit.

So you will notice checkout complete.    Then you trot off to your own bank site and arrange to make a payment.

Back you go to ebay, and mark it is paid - a little hourglass will then show, as the seller waits for payment to clear.

I really hope you have dealt with this seller before and that's why you're chosing bank deposit, otherwise it could turn into an expensive mistake if the seller runs off with your money

This happens so often, Ebay REALLY SHOULD make it much clearer to the buyer about the steps they need to take to complete their payment. If they are new enough not to know then they NEED it slapped in their face.

A follow up auto email from ebay reitterating the various instructions would help as well.

Sure would save confusion.
