how long to wait for express post after payment

I won a bid with a seller with a zero feedback score.  The postage was $14.80 for express when it could have been posted for $8.25 in a 500g satchel.  I paid on the 10th and contacted seller on 16th asking for tracking number as it was not marked as posted.  I have not heard from the seller and now wondering if I have been taken for a ride?  How long should I wait for delivery?

Where were the items being shipped from? What was the seller's handling time?

$14.80 is the cost of a 3kg Express Satchel.

What was the item? The DVD set? I doubt that would fit into a 500 satchel.

It says delivery from today which is unexpected for an express delivery.  I didnt notice that until today.  

The last DVD set I purchased easily fit in a 500g satchel. 

The seller was in Melbourne.  Express is within 2 days so I would not expect someone to post it days later.

The auction only finished late on the 14th.

The seller's handling time is

Will usually post within 2 business days of receiving cleared payment.

If you paid straight after the auction then I would expect the item to be posted yesterday or today.

I didn't mind the 3kg satchel cost but express is a different story if it is not posted promptly.

I'm a bit new at this checking other people's buys so I hope I haven't got it wrong - but the one I'm looking at did not finish until 14 October pm

and the seller's  site says "Will usually post within 2 business days of receiving cleared payment"

so the time isn't up yet, even if it was posted express, and assuming the buyer is in the express post network

The OP says they paid on the 10th so the auction must have finished before that...not on the 14th.

Exactly.  Know wonder I was confused as the date of 10th was what I was looking at too.  I just checked paypal and it was paid on the 14th so I guess I just wait to see what his definition of express means.

always read sellers terms.re-postage

i alway put i usually post within 2 days(this does not include weekends and public holidays)

as alot of post offices are not open then

plus stuff happens(maybe they not online or away)

i would give them till monday and then email again

if its express its only express once posted-this has nothing to do with sellers handling times before they post item
