Hi,
just want some advise on buying an i-phone through ebay.
Many i-phone for sale on here, is there any problems buying online?
Is there any thing I should be aware of?
Is there country specific models or they all the same?
The ones I've thought about buying from all seem to be good sellers with excellent feedback. New phone, so is the warranty valid?
Thanks

When you are paying for something that is the price of an iphone, the little if any saving you will get. I say you would be better off buying it from an authorized retailer, from the looking around at the apple products on ebay, there really isnt any great savings to be had.

Buy it from your local shop, ive seen to many buyers on here posting threads crying when they get ripped off or have problems, its not worth it.

I would advise against buying an item like this on ebay simply because I bought genuine iPhone from an Apple Store & had it replaced under warranty twice & repaired under warranty once...I know several other people who have made warranty claims also. If you buy from an unauthorised seller Apple will NOT honour any warranty & you might get stuck with a shoddy product!

Exactly, chinese police arrested a few people a while ago selling fake iphones on ebay, they used SOME genuine apple parts in them and would sell them for a $300 profit.
Fakes are big business because people buy them
People pay more for a iphone on ebay with no warranty protection for more than you can buy one in a shop.
Its called the iwant one syndrome

Yes i had a look, they sold one a while ago which was a gift from a friend, they said they have a S2 so dont need it.
Then they sold another not long after, a gift from a friend, same spiel
Then you buy one, a gift from a supplier but they have no use for it :^O
Your warranty is worthless, Apple will not cover it since you bought it online.
The seller who no has nothing for sale even though there so called supplier sends them a iphone 4s as a gift?
The seller also refused to let the buyer who entered wrong amount off the hook, dont sound like a honest seller to me ๐ฎ
Let us know if you phone is still working in 2 months please

No offense, but it sounds like even the genuine iPhone is a shoddy product ๐ฎ

Its common knowledge that the first batch of iphones with any new model released is always plagued with some sort of problems, there have been screen problems, antenna problems, overheating problems. But people still line up around the block for 2 days to get the latest model first.
To me a smart person would wait a few months for the problems to show themselves and for apple to fix the next batch that come out and then buy a new iphone.

Well, if was going to buy a phone from a 500 billion dollar company, i would expect said phone to be perfect on the first run. Seems profit is more important than product. I think i'll stick with my 4yo Nokia ๐
