I think you would need to do your own research as there were not any replies of substance about the smarty site.

By the way, at the beginning I was suspicious of Cashrewards too, but I checked reviews etc. and by now I got almost $250 cashback. 🙂

So many cashback sites are indeed legit, but it is always recommended to do some research.

So... Many people have recently come here to complain about $19 that had been withdrawn from their credit card by Smartycashback... I don't have the time to read all T&Cs right now, but I have just found some sort of clarification about the $15 voucher...

It appears that all who accepted it automatically joined the Plus service, which might imply the $19 fee if they don't cancel the trial (I assume). I think I now have some sort of Déjà vu... You know, when people join eBay Plus attracted by some benefit...

Ebay now even makes it clear that you need to start the paid membership to get the vouchers:
