listing of items they dont have

I ordered some dry bag from a seller, they mentioned they have to be factory checked and thus are not availalbe for me.

Yet they continue to list the same item for sale  on ebay ?  what gives ?

They don't want to sell to you.

Move on to a reputable seller.

They dont want to cancel a running listing while they restock, as it affects their search ratings and visibility.

Like any store periodically they run out of stock until new stock arrives, Even putting holds on listings in sync with stock complicates things and increases problems for big sellers.

What they are doing by letting it run is annoying buyers and risking bad feedback.
