microwave not replaced

Hi I bought a microwave oven and the seller agreed to replace the faulty item.  On their request I sent videos of faulty oven and then they asked me to return it - I did costing me $30 in postage but the seller now refuses to accept his/her promise.  And it's so hard virtually impossible to contact Ebay.  Ebay did contact me after I posted on this forum but that was in the stage I had accepted the promise of the replacement.  Now trying again to get in contact with Ebay and it appears impossible, can't even get online help and no chance of an email.  Very frustrating.

Only on ebay. Lots of large reputable companies have carp feedback on ebay, yet buying directly, have extremely positive feedback. I don't know why they fail on ebay, but a lot do.

My items have all come ex Sydney and I've had zero issues, so obviously the ebay section is different to the online section. Plenty of people I work with have also had the same positive experiences as I have.

Someone mentioned the Product Review site. That used to be a really good site, and while this other member said that Appliances Online rated well on that site, a lot of things don't. Reason being, most people only leave a review these days if they have a bad experience. They are pished off and want blood, so they let loose. 50 people may have had a bad experience with a vacuum cleaner. There is no mention of the 2.5 million people who love it. Yet people see the 50 bad reviews and immediately think dodgy. I don't rely on that site any more for that reason. Yes, I will go and leave a good review for a new product, but I don't rely on it if I'm in the market for something.

This happens on all review sites, not only ProductReview.

People write reviews when they angry, although sometimes they also write reviews when they are particularly happy, for example if a seller has helped them with a problem.

If a product is just what it is expected to be, most people don't bother, even if they like it.

This makes the rating of Appliances Online even more valuable, I think.
