paypal

Paypal limited my account for no reason and wont let me have my money unless I give them a heap of personal information. I rang them and they were very unhelpful and said I have to give them the information. There was nothing wrong with my account and that was my money. In the end I told them to keep my money then and shove the account, I will never deal with them again.

I have come across alot of ebay sellers that refuse to deal with paypal and now I understand why. Paypal should not be allowed to demand peoples personal information that is unnecessary.

I hope everybody thinks before giving out their personal details to paypal or any other place, this is how things get hacked. What are they going to request next? My password?

Re: paypal

That's fair enough, too. I absolutely agree that anybody opening a bank account of any description should be required to provide adequate proof of their identity, but attached credit cards or bank accounts in the Paypal account holder's name should be more than sufficient proof of identity as far as they're concerned. Otherwise, I have no issue with their requests for proof of ID.

Re: paypal

I can understand your reservations regarding handing over personal details online. The fact remains however that all this was in the terms & conditions you agreed to when you originally signed up to paypal.

If you dont read T&Cs its a bit rough to then complain when you are being requested to fulfill the agreed to requirements.

The same goes for new members to ebay who dont learn/read the "how to's" then wonder why they are out of pocket when something goes pear shaped.
