Why would you use bank deposit for such a high priced item from a new seller with no feedback?
Sorry, but the only person to blame for your predicament is yourself. Ebay cannot do anything when you use bank deposit.
Why did you not use Paymate, the safe payment option offered by the seller?
Have you actually got a report in writing from an authorised 3rd party to say the bag is a fake? If you have that piece of paper I would tell the seller you are going to report her to the online fraud squad if you do not get your money back....and do it.

I would also tell them I was going to report them to customs as the likelihood is they are importing stock from China and to Chanel. If they have other brands for sale report the listings to the company who makes them.

You paid that much from a seller who only signed up in April with only one 1 feedback. Did you ask for a photo of the date stamp or even a real picture of the bag? not accepting paypal? my goodness.
The only thing I can suggest is to ring a solicitor or get a letter of demand drawn requesting that if the funds are not returned to you in 48 hours you will be passing all their details onto customs and to the police.
I would most certainly go to ACORN http://www.acorn.gov.au/ and lodge a complaint about them.

Harley, the seller is offering Paymate so do not have to have paypal.
However, that also rings alarm bells as the seller is supposed to have a track record before they can have a Paymate account.

Paymate, bank deposit and personal cheque.....many (most?) sellers offer paypal and bank deposit, so not that unusual.
One other thing that makes me very suspicious....the listing does not mention Chanel in the title although the photos look genuine.

This style of Handbag retails for for approx $7500 new.
I would guess that the pictures in the listing are real as the hardware on the bag can be seen as Fake when you use the zoom button.
The Studs in the leather handle and the double C clasp should all have the 'Double C' in the middle.
She also uses the Chanel name in the description.
So just with the pictures supplied and the real cost of the bag anyone who does their research should have heard the warning alarms.
The Louis Vuitton bag is also iffy as they don't make it in that colour and the Tag is marked incorrectly. More pictures would be better.
This one retails for $3500 so price is also sus as neither Chanel or Louis Vuitton have SALES.

How do you know for definite that it is a fake and what did seller say when you phoned her ?
You can report to Online Fraud squad as has been suggested and sorry to rub salt into the wound but this comes from ACORN website
Regarding online transactions, it is advisable to select a secure payment service yourself rather than accept advice from the seller.
