"dog chewed the dress"

I have just won a dress and it is obvious that the seller didnt get the price she wanted for it. She sent me a message saying the dog chewed it up. When I immediately replied back and asked for a photo of the damage she said she threw it out. What options do I now have as far as negative feedback goes and I will be reporting her to ebay.

Cheers

briaftrisam, if you actually read all of the posts calmly, you would see that you have most of your points stated here incorrect. #2. Its been shown her that the seller does this sort of thing previously #3 I cant leave feedback until after 7 days because she is a power seller. #4 I didnt post a smiley face or GLOWED - and I have done every possible thing that I have been shown on here by people who have way more experience then me and are more than kind to show me. I dont appreciate your rude comment. I think practicing what you preach would benefit you.

you can remove any Kudo that you give to a post.  Just go to the 'Options' link on the post that you Kudo'd and the dropdown menu will have a 'Revoke my Kudos' option.

mine didn't - what did I do wrong?

Thanks, I have just looked through her sales. It really stinks that she does this. I hope ebay does follow up. Thanks again.

4) Paying for something that is clearly not going to be sent and then posting a smiley
face and glowing over receiving a refund!

if you are referring to the emoticon in post #11 then 'hover' your pointer over the emoticon and you will see that it is a "frustrated" emoticon, not a smiley at all.  If you were referring to another post then I can't find it.

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

The cerebral cortex has surrounded itself to dissipation. I think of this whenever I hear babble about the absolutes, or correctness - in this case an advice provided as the only truth on these boards and merely and simply fitting in with what the person would like to hear at the time - agreeable solution to her problem.

The person in question is likely to perceive any contrary argument as rude, and opposite to calm, pleasant or even structured.
What motivates my argument (and not what is necessarily correct) is that Milly payed for the dress after the seller not only sent a message saying that she is not willing to sell the dress any longer, shortly followed by a cancellation request - which Milly declined and then paid for the dress.
Who in their right mind can tell me that this is wise, correct and well thought and why? (Keeping in mind that seller is obviously not going to part with the dress)
Also keep in mind that a good argument is free and absent of conjecture:
If I don't do this, she may do that, or simply she may do nothing, as the seller originally indicated to Milly by refusing to honur the auction.
Then we raise the option of the negative feedback to not only teach her a lesson, but all the other poor buyers out there. Really??? Very few at that will learn anything from it, as majority of the Ebay buyers are driven by price.
Looking at sellers feedback if what majority of you are saying is correct and she is in a habit of doing this, I'm suprised that she has not received any negative remarks yet!

As far as the Buddhism and this argument goes - We do not naturally aspire to any hazy, floaty, narcotic Nirvana, where our critical and ironic faculties would be no use to us. Imagine a state of endless praise, gratitude and admiration, as Western Society ceaselessly enjoin us to do, and you have conjured a world of hellish nullity and conformism.
It is not what you think, but how you think.

P.S. Thanks Crikeymate for making me laugh - at myself that is! And apologies to those that don't get the meaning, as it certainly is not my intention to upset.

I don't agree with your implication that buyers are mainly motivated by price.  Before I buy on Ebay I do check the feedback to see if a seller can be trusted.  I checked this seller's feedback and was very surprised that she has 100% positive feedback, zero negative and 1 neutral.  I think it is very important that if a seller has done something as dishonest as this one appears to have done, other potential buyers should be warned.  If the circumstances as described are true, I think Ebay needs to take action against this seller.

Re: "dog chewed the dress"

Ebay have sent me two emails about this. They assured me they are doing what needs to be done to stop her/ They have to  'follow policy'... as they said. I can say this, there HAS been feedback left, prior to me, but it was removed. As kind people have already pointed out here , wording on feedback is the key - trying to let others be warned WITHOUT it being deleted by ebay. Please do not respond to the person above - he has no idea what he is talking about, he hasn't ALL the facts and is just a very judgemental person.
