threatening message from seller

As you have been refunded and I have sent the item, return it or I will send a friend to collect it from your address.it

Never come across this before.

First message 4 weeks ago was the postal service has changed the way it sends parcels bla bla bla

second, 3 weeks ago, your item has been delayed unexpectedly in Aust. posts new service, bla bla bla

third, 2 weeks ago glad to tell you your item is now on its way and should be there soon

Last week I asked for a refund

today top message came and I'm meant to believe there is an item somewhere out there on its way to me.

I really did want the item for my daughter so will pay the seller if it does arrive.

I think the seller is highly creative with their messages and untruthful as stringing me along just doesn't cut it.

Personally I would have said - So sorry we're out of stock of this particular item, I can refund you your payment or if you're willing to wait 5-6 weeks, I should have a new shipment of this item ready to send to you then.

Re: threatening message from seller

Did they give you a tracking number, rama?

Depending where it's coming from, it could be bouncing between Chullora and Sunshine West, but that is generally parcels and all parcels have tracking these days.

I wouldn't worry about the threat.

Re: threatening message from seller

Dear Seller

Please for the sake of your friend and of myself do not come round to collect payment.  If the item arriives I will be happy to meet your friend outsde te local post office but as I live next door to some very unsavoury 'gentlemen' who it appears like to look after their elderly neighbours I hate to think what they would do if your friend turns up demanding money.

Love

Barmy Betty, the biikies frend.

Re: threatening message from seller

Good news, the item arrived today, YAY!

Only 5 weeks after ordering it.

Unfortunately my kids birthday has been and gone.

Personally if drop-shippers want to pull your strings and roll a scripted line of BS messages to you about why an item is taking so long to get to you, they have to get their lines right with courtesy and without forceful threats.

As stated before, I like honest sellers who can accept they're at fault and offer you alternatives to choose from like a quick refund because they don't have the stock or letting you know they can get the item only it will take ... before it is shipped to the buyer.

ps: yes the payment has been made now the item is in my hands so the seller can call off their attack dog now.

Re: threatening message from seller

Well, you are better than I am.

There are a couple of issues going on here with the whole purchase. First off you bought it for a special purpose, the birthday has now come & gone. Secondly, 5 weeks was a long time to wait for those sorts of supplies.

Did the item have tracking?

It doesn't sound like  it.

If someone lied to me all along the way, then threatened me when I had not even received an item, I would be telling them where to go. O else haver told them to send their friend round to the PO, as I did not have it and didn't know where it was.

That is why it sounds as if it may not have had tracking, because why would he have threatened to send someone round to collect it when the tracking details would prove it had not arrived?

Once it arrived, I would have been saying they could come collect it now or else send me a prepaid posting bag because delivery was too late for the event.

Oh and a neg feedback would not go astray plus ding his stars on communication & delivery.

I would even go so far as to report them for the threatening tone of their message !  They could have asked very politely, if the item did happen to turn up & you still wanted it, would you mind paying for it or if it arrives too late for it's intended purpose, asking if you would go to the trouble of mailing it back if they provided a postage paid envelope.  The seller is just plain rude & sets a bad example.
