Hey Guys
It seems a few people have been blocked by sellers and are getting the error message "Seller not accepting your bid" for giving bad feedback, wrong locations etc...
I've tried to buy items from local's on eBay just today - Around 5 different items from 5 different sellers (All in Aussie where I am from) and I keep getting the message "Seller not accepting your bid". I give good feedback to those who deserve it (Almost everyone) and I pay for my items at the time of purchase. It seems I am completely unable to purchase from eBay so far today. Around 5 different sellers not accepting my bid!? That can't be right can it... I messaged eBay and they told me to email the seller and ask them to remove me from their ban list. I feel this could possibly be a bug in their website - is this happening for others?

are you a pom?
(I only ask because your feedback displays one of their inherent traits)
FFS...welcome to my bbl ... (just blame the block on the run of bad luck you seem to be having especially with quality and expectation
just a sample of feedback left for others

I bet the DSR stars left are not so positive
... I really wonder whether buyers have cottoned onto the fact that ebay's "anonymous DSR stars" are not really anonymous??
the examples above and below are all positive feedback btw
Item had bubbles in glass. Seller sent me another one within one day! Awesome!
7 days to receive item. Protector had small bend otherwise good
Thanks guys, received quickly, fits well. Glass feels a little loose sometimes
took 2 days to post, but arrived next day. Item works well. thanks mate
nice item, looks good and quick delivery. a tad thin but it is also cheap
Actually quite a good lure, especially for the price - 11 days delivery
not to bad... slower than the other orders from same place at same time.
Very nice mate. Slower delivery than the other sets from the same location.
The orange one is pretty see through but apparently it is supposed to be
almost exact colour - very nice.

Wilorichie I am extremely interested in what protocols you use when leaving detailled sellers ratings....especially the
"How quickly did the seller post the item?" star
If a chinese seller stated a 3 to 5 day handling time and posted it within one day...... but it took three weeks for you to actually receive your item what star would you give?
as opposed to
the chinese seller who stated a 3 to 5 day handling time, but did not post until the 6th day and you received you item just 4 days after post date
did you know that the ebay average rating to be a top rated seller is 4.4?
which effectively means that for any seller you rated as
a 4 you are rating as below site standard,
a 3 means they are terrible,
a 2 means they are even worse and almost the devil incarnate and
a 1 means that they are not only the devil...but the devil on a really bad day
The DSR ratings sellers receive from buyers directly affects that sellers product's visibility onsite and therefore their profitibility......
http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/feedback/detailed-seller-ratings.html
How quickly did the seller post the item?
Rate the seller on the time it took to mail the item, not the time it took you to receive the item.
Donโt hold sellers responsible for delays in mail services, international custom delays, or for the time it takes for your payment to clear.
If the item is for local pick-up you won't be able to specify this rating.

Mate ,believe me ,You are wasting your time with trying to find out why your blocked..I have been blocked by about 8 sellers ( sellers of the same type items),and have spent nearly 2 months trying to find out WHY,But you never will cos every time y move the rules..I have a perfect score ,even tho one smart seller pointed out a dispute over 18 mths ago to me .,
Of which was settled amicably,
I finally got one seller to tell me why ,and he said ,:when yu remove negative feedback to 2 sellers "you will be able to bid again .? They were both in a paypal dispute of not sending items ,which I won both disputes...Well anyway when I told ebay and not to include the good seller who told me ..They replied XXX seller has been reprimanded and will be watched ,,So mate dont waste your time , and especially in here as you have found out for yourself ,These sellers in here are always here ..adios

.I have been blocked by about 8 sellers ( sellers of the same type items),and have spent nearly 2 months trying to find out WHY,
it is possible that all these IDs were in fact the same company, and many people block buyer they had problem with. You say that the 2 NEGs you left was for sellers who did not send your items. Just because you did not receive your items does not mean they did not send it; parcels do now and then get lost either on their way or may get taken from people's mail boxes. Sellers do not deliberately fail to post items, if they did they would not survive here. I cannot judge if the NEGs were justified or not, but if for instance the seller has refunded and you still gave them bad FB, then they had good reason to block you.

As a buyer only , i find the comments left for buyers a little snide, especially saying " it took 2 days to post " i find that if an item is posted in 2 days i am happy, but you make it sound as though it is a bad thing. And from a lot of the examples of the feedback you have left, you have had a few replacements and a few cash backs given to you for not being satisfied with products. That is your right as a buyer to do what you believe is right, but it is also a buyers right to block who they want to. And as a guess just from reading the boards lots of the buyers have 99% trouble free buyers that dont complain or want a discount or a refund and that puts you in the other 1% who they consider to be a troublesome buyer.
And besides your buying record, sellers have been known to block buyers from what they write in the forums here, I dont know if or what you have written in here but that is another way to be blocked. I dont know, but i wouldnt be suprised if i had been blocked from some buyers just for a differing opinion to theirs in the forums, but that is their right.

I can certainly see why you are blocked by sellers and have just added you to my list you are unfair and sarcastic in your comments and reputable sellers don't want anything to do with you & they are quite within their rights too
i think a year after they posted this they are probably not still wondering why???

Straight onto BBL - thank you jacleo :-x
Regardless of date of original post the feedbacks now under discussion are recent

OP ...........sellers are totally stressed over DSR's & feedback because Ebay make it that way.. a few (very few) low ratings etc can wipe out their business by Ebay. So you see sellers will block for what may seem a trivial reason to you but is in fact a huge risk for sellers. Any hint of poor feedback ( often unjustified) or low DSR's (again unjustified) and they will block a buyer as it is better to possibly lose a sale rather than have Ebay trash their business. completely
