unpaid item case unfair...

Just want to warn buyers about this case.I tried to buy a lounge cover but the seller would not post to a post office box which is my only address as I live on acreage out of town. What made me mad is it,s not until you take the item to checkout to pay, thats when it comes up in red print about po boxes.so,I live out of a country town and dont have anyone else to receive the article,so I tried 3 times for the seller to please cancel.I was totally ignored and they filed an unpaid item case.Do you think that is fair.....now ebay has marked my account.

Parcel lockers are only available in city areas, so not even an option for someone rural, regional or remote.

That's irrelevant to my main point, though. I just mentioned them because they have identical T&Cs to parcel collect (including but not limited to, no couriers, no letter items, hence why they are more problematic than PO boxes for many sellers).

I used to live out of town and had the same problem.

As gutterpnkz05 suggested, I just addressed mine as follows:

Name

c/- Name of post office

22345 (PO Box number - without writing PO Box)

123 Easy Street

Suburb  postcode

I still have the PO box because I work out of town and still encounter the same problem so usually don't purchase from sellers who don't send to PO Boxes.

Last week I did purchase something from a seller who used a courier. When I checked the tracking I discovered that they were using Startrack (AP) so I went into my My Post account and changed the delivery address to my PO box. Everyone happy!

Hi wildhogs,

I'm in the same situation as you, in that I live at a rural address that isn't delivered to by the local post service, and everything must come via a PO box in town.

For sellers who won't send to a PO box, I keep a version of my address saved in eBay that is:

## Myroad Rd

c/- PO Box ###

City, Postcode etc

That's been a reliable way to receive literally dozens of items this year alone.  Aus Post leave a collection card in the PO box for the item, and I just collect from the parcel hatch or counter, exactly like something that was sent addressed to the PO box alone.

My local PO will actually do this even for items addressed *only* to my street address (not mention of the PO Box number in the address), which is probably the wrong thing to do technically, but much appreciated by us country folk who often encounter organisations with stupid arbitrary PO delivery restrictions in place.

NEVERMIND ON TROUBLES!!! LET'S DO HOBBY!!!

Totally unfair and sheer arrogance on the part of the seller if he/she ignored your pleas like you said. Can I ask if the seller was a local or overseas seller? Thanks

I hope you get that strike removed.

I did something like that too czem, similar to what you did. I think I wtrote Deliver to Post Office Box number (such and such etc)

I tried shifting the lines but the system picked up P.O. Box and wouldn't let me go though with it. Seller had no problem with sending to P.O. boxes, just tht his settings were that way. To save time, I just took care of it before he got back to me.
