Does anyone know how I would date my Carl Zeiss Binoculars that I bought today?

I found a great pair of Carl Zeiss binoculars today at a jumble sale.  They look old and come in a leather case.  The markings are "Jena" and "Binoctar 7 x 50".  I would love to know how to date them with a view to sell - but I can't seem to find a serial number.

If you Google  "Binoctar 7 x 50" you will find references to several recent sales on eBay. I once thought to sell a vintage pair of Zeiss but gave up - there are so many things to be aware of, principally whether all the lenses (front and back) are in good condition with no cracks or scratching. But good luck.

Maybe the listings will help.   There seems to be a lot of information and

After that, click on 'completed listings'
