Only, like kittens, they grow up too soon.

I am still in a sort of euphoria. Have been to a wonderful wedding last night. It was beautiful, heartwarming, funny and hillarious at times. Lots of good music, delicious food and plenty to drink.
Both Bride and Groom 70 years old.

It is so nice to have something so lovely like Babies and weddings to lift ones spirit.

16th day UPDATE B-) ~~~ where have the days gone????

I went shopping by myself today. YAAAAAAAAY !!!!

Was gone for nearly 4 hours, did some grocery shopping and managed a couple of Oppies along the way too - unfortunately mostly same-o same-o as to what was there last week 😞

haha, good for you Hynes. Bit of a shock thbat takes a bit of getting used to. It makes you appreciate being alone sometimes.

Sure does Miss L. I love being alone to do what I want and miss that.

I almost had to shove OH out the front door a few nights ago so he'd go to an orchid society meeting. It's the only thing he does without me but he'd still prefer I went with him. He just doesn't get it, even after 3 years of retirement. :_|

17th day and my (our) heads are swimming. Had two appointments this morning with Accountant and later with Financial Guru. Seems I will HAVE to keep working for at least another 7 years. NOOOOOOOO I DUNWANNA !!!!!!!!

In fact it has been such a BIG day OH is having a Poppynap and I feel like joining him. ZZZZZzzzzz.

I know exactly how you ladies are feeling. For six years I was on my own before I married again. I got a taste of what it was like being single for the first time in my life after my second husband died. The children had already left home.
It's great to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, but it also can be very lonely, especially when you have had a lot of people in your life that depended on you and you cared for them. Lonely and feeling useless is a hard bite to take. Still, having a bit of ME time and not someone under your feet all the time is heaven when it happens.
My OH keeps busy as much as he can, or he helps me with the housework. Today he had to travel a long distance to deliver a couple of the glass paintings he does. I had five hours alone in the house and could concentrate on writing descriptions for my eBay listings without interruptions for coffee or conversations. It was bliss.
And then the darling came home with two TV dinners and told me that he thought I may like a break from cooking. 😄

Love them or leave them they say. I'd rather have my man around than be alone again. Freedom is great, but it is not the greatest company. But that's just me.:-D
