Re: How is everyone?

Hi, Does anyone want to know where I am, well I am gunna tell you anyway. I am in Bendigo, we arrived here last night, we returned from New Zealand in Monday. We had a pretty good trip, Neil won 2 of the Super Veterans Titles, not a bad effort. Did a bit of reasonably serious shopping, bought a Crown Crystal, Hobnail and Cane, marigold cake salver, don't see many of them. Bit of a story attached to it, we found it in an antique shop in Paeroa, asked for their best price, was told 10% was allowed by the owner, if we wanted more we should talk to him, guess who "him" was, yep you got it Daremi, Mark Holwerda, formerly of the Gold Coast and now in Kaiti Kaiti, N.Z. I had his phone number, which I had left in Brisbane, as I was going to get in touch with him - how is that for a coincidence? We met Mark and his wife in Paeroa and had a bit of a chat and caught up with what has been happening and bought a few more things that he was putting into the shop.
We are here until Tuesday when we move to Shepparton, put the kettle on Miss Linda we will be over on Wendesday or Thursday, will give you a ring to set the day.
That's it for now, time to have brekkie, sort the clothes and do the washing, then wait for it, the ironing.

Wilma.

Re: How is everyone?

Great to hear from you Wilma. Congrats to Neil on his wins. Looking forward to seeing your goodies. ๐Ÿ™‚

Erica, I'm sure your right about being on your own. I know I love having people around me but would really love a break from them ALL now and then. I don't think it's too much to ask? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Re: How is everyone?

Hi Hynes,
Yes, Mark does have some gorrjussst pieces, he has bought a couple of collections since he moved to NZ, including his recently listed, and not sold, Farmyard bowl.
I actually went shopping today, to the Huntly Pottery. One of their lovely corgi doggies had 6 puppies last night, unfortunately one passed away, but they still have five. They have 4 less pieces of pottery after my visit. We also took in a few garage sales yesterday, I bought a small crystal battery clock, 2 pairs of shoes (one thongs that my friend has a pair of and they cost her more than $120, the other heeled silver slides that haven't been worn) a very fancy photo frame set with crystals, the whole lot cost me a whopping $6, reckon I did well. Neil shopped seperately and his goodies are still appearing so can't really tell you what he bought.
We leave here on Tuesday and will be in Shepparton for a few days, then it is off to S.A. before we go to Wagga on April 2nd.
That's it for now,

Wilma

Granny, that's no good. We are just off to hospital for the day, hubby is having some tests and a special x ray that means he has to be there for at least 6 hours, so, it means we are missing Wilma and Neil, sorry guys, hope to catch you next time.
