Hi,
Well I have finished the unpacking, at least I think I have. This is most of the glass and china we acquired, will keep the little kookas, the carnival salver, will swap the swan ash tray for one that has had its neck repaired, and maybe the condiment set and the pin dish with the koala. There is bound to be a couple more things, just can't remember what. We also bought a load for the Markets, mainly kitchenalia and a few other things a well, you could say we finished up with a car load.
There is a little story for the salver. Remember daremi - Mark Holwerda. Well Mark has moved to N.Z and now has a kiwi fruit farm, he is also still into antiques, buying and selling. He had the salver in an antique shop in Paeroa which just happens to be a 20 minute drive from Tahuna where we were staying. He rents a couple of bays in the shop, he supplies the stock and they sell it for him on commision - works well. We met up with Mark and his wife and daughter when they were stocking the site and we were picking up the salver and a few other things. Was great to catch up with them again we used to see them at the Nambour Collectorama.
Now for the pictures, if you would like more information on them, just ask.
