Hope all the Mum's ha a great day.  I got to see everyone.  I told the kids today I am going to sell the house and buy a 2 bedroom unit.  It's too  sad for me here, and, here I thought I was tough....no rush, by the end of the year I should be settled.

Oh Linda - you ARE tough Hun. โ™ฅ  Just take it one day at a time and whatever you choose to do will be the RIGHT decision .... not that there is ever a right decision according to some family members, but if it feels right for you - just do it.

I had a lovely Non-Mother's Day as per usual ..... not ONE of the 3 step-daughters called or emailed ~~~ not that I expected that to happen of course - never do - BUT personally it would have been a little bit on the ' nice ' side after 20 years with their father ( anniversary is in one week from today on 20/5 )  Oh Well - C'est la vie.

I did have a little sleep in though but not for too long .... we have been doggy-sitting for a couple of days and one can not ignore when " Canis Piddleyii " needs to go outside IYKWIM ๐Ÿ™‚  :^O

Linda, you ARE tough as Hynes said.  Just to make that decision and leave the place of so many memories is the toughest decision to make IMO. {{{BIG HUGS}}}.  I hope you find somewhere nice to enjoy that is just for you and will take away the sadness. :-x

Now that I have made the decision I am at ease with it.  Few things to work out first, but, hopefully it will be done by the end of the year.  I just got into trouble off Hannah cause I am not helping pack up, better go, hahaha

Tough on the outside, but a real softie underneath.  Good luck with the unit, make new memories and patchwork quilts.  Don't forget to give me the phone number and address so I know where to come and see you.  Good  luck.

It won't happen in a hurry Wilma, and yes, I will tell you where I am.  Guess you will be needing a new quilt?

I guess you are right, as usual.  I have studied all the photos Neil took of the inside of the house and the heaps of our goods and chattels that were dumped on the nature strip for the Council to take away, and nowhere could I find my lovely patchwork quilt.  It would have got wet, can't see how it wouldn't have, but can't find a trace of it anywhere, found the bed, sheets and all and the doona in a picture, on the nature strip, quilt should have been with them, but no sign of it.  Maybe it might turn up in the linen my SIL washed and has stored, hope so, but don't think I could be that lucky.  Damnation, I loved that quilt.  After all that, in answer to your question, yes please I would like another one of your lovely quilts, promise I will take good care of it and if we get flooded again, I will pack it and take it with me. There is no hurry for it, after you get moved into your new unit will be fine, it will be something for me to look forward to.

Thank you for thinking of me.

Hi Terri,

Thanks for the inquiry, I haven't been very good at keeping you up to date on what is happening, house wise.  Maybe that is because that nothing, and I mean nothing, is happening'  The builder is currently working on 50 houses, they are all being paid by their Insurance Companies, I guess uninsured houses have to wait a while.  He did say that he had two of his best plasterers finishing a job and that they would be here on Thursday, today, or Friday.  I am waiting. In the meantime the weather is cooling and we will probably be looking for a heater in the very near future.  Wonder how you heat an unlined colour bond shed with a bare concrete floor and gaps between the wall and roof,, all suggestions are welcome.  If, and when, there are any developments you will be the first to know - stay tuned.
