He is being assessed by Palliative Care tomorrow, if they think he warrants it, they will talk to his Doctor, and then, me, as his carer, then if we all pass, or fail, however they look at it, we shall be right. At the end of the day, he cannot come home until it is safe, and, the hospital is under pressure to empty his bed.

Have met some pretty special people the last week or so, and, guess what, I have all their names, hehe, going to write the biggest thankyou card they have ever seen.LOL

Thats wonderful of you. Hospitals dont get enough of that. If there is a pressure on beds then they have to deal with it. he should come home until every thing is ready. its a recipe for failure and you want it to succeed. Palliative care teams are wonderful and so supportive. Well the one up here is.

Thankyou for your kind thoughts for Apple, he has been sternly told to rest and has read your advice which i think has helped.
He has had mild relapses the last couple of days, but is still on medication from the hospital and it looks like it will be a long recovery.

Take care all and pleased to hear of all improvements for those who have been unwell.

Hope Apple continues to improve Leonie, got a small update on Les below.

We are getting everything we need to make Les comfortable, including an electric lift, recliner chair, this was the big thing, it will make him much more comfortable. Few other aids too, still sorting out the wheelchair, but, we will get there.

He is a bit better today, but, got a heap of fluid on board, that will take a few weeks to control. They are doing a bone scan on him on Monday, don't know why, can't catch up with Drs. Won't be home for a few days yet

Oh Linda - that is such GOOD NEWS !!! Seeeeeee - there are people 'out there' who can do things to change negativity to positivity. All power to you & Les.

Leonie - you are not too far away for me to come and WHACK Apple if he plays up and doesn't do as he is told. OK?

Today was "a day at the salt-mines" for me. Busy Busy Busy as usual and I was absolutely BUSHED when I arrived home..... walked in the door to an aroma 😮 😮 ...... ahhhh steamed veges cooking ...... ( home-grown broccoli, beans, carrots, corn ). All I had to do was cook some sirloin steak. OH had also done the grocery shopping today (including spoiling me :-x with some Mersey Valley cheese YUMMMMM - LOVE IT!!! ), plus he had vacuumed & steam-mopped YAAAAAY :-x and done 3 loads of washing - all folded & put away.

:-x He's worth bottling :-x and NOOOOO he's not for hire.

LOL at you whacking Apple, he is in bed already and i will wake him in an hour to check his temp as he is not well again. We are hoping that we won't have another late trip to the hospital tonight, fingers crossed.

Les is a bit better today, fed himself tonight, whoo hoo. Easy pleased I am. We had a huge storm this afternoon, more to come tonight. Hope everyone stays dry and safe.
