Corny it's so hard for me to imagine anyone living in snow like that, but, I imagine it was hard for you to imagine living without it.,  Love old pics, seems the older we get, the more we do.

The strange part is that you never felt all that cold as it's a different type of cold compared to here and you always wore gloves and hats to prevent heat loss,(which I still do in winter here).

The snow was just part of life and you got more fun out of it then disliking it,(plus you got a white Christmas,fire crackers and olliebollen,(a Dutch type of donut  ),:-D

In Summer,if the temperature got above 30 degrees you got sent home from school,:O

My mum has given the early photos to the kids that where in them and they have brought back lots of memories for all,:-x ,

They have also done the rounds via the net and she has the full set on a memory stick,:-D

Taz,I agree with you on been a different cold.As I am an ex "Pom" and visit there often.I tell my friends it is a different cold,feel colder here in Sydney than I do in the UK.

Hope Wilma and Neil are ok in Bundaberg, and, eveyone else up there, some rough weather today and more coming.

I've been worrying about them too Miss L and anyone else up there, like Leonie and Apple?   I know Hynes is OK.  It's about to hit us here in Sydney today but I imagine, nothing like up north. 😞

The weather has gone mad Mon.  We have fires, you all have lots of water.

I guess Wilma won't mind me passing on the good news...... THEY ARE SAFE !!!  including small dog. 

But their house is flooded 😞   Don't know how bad yet.  Didn't get time to get much out before having to get out 😞

They are staying with friends.

Yes - Mon we are fine - a bit sodden though and last night was really scary with the biggest winds I have EVER experienced.  YAAAY all our trees stood up to Mother Nature.  Power has been an issue for lots - we have had minor interruptions but the local shops are on generators and using calculators LOL   Of course you need cash too - EFTPOS is down.
