You will have noticed that I am unusally excited about something, weeelll we are having babies - baby birds that is.
Last year the OH built and installed the latest model in bird nesting boxes in the two palm trees in the back yard. We had a fair amount of birds inspect them, but until this year none of them took up residence. We now have a pair of Pale Headed Rosellas in one box, and they have two eggs. Yeeeee Haaaar we are gunna be grandparents.
Will keep you posted.

Bet you thought we had found a black koala master bowl?

well congratulations on the feathered friends, but I don't think even the very very very latest technology in nesting boxes will result in black glass Koalas, no matter how well installed they are. ๐

Oh, wow!:O I's great when birds start trusting you and nest nearby.
Any news about the chicks, or is it too early?
Hope you'll be able to take a photo to share. ๐

Hi, No chicks as yet, think they take about 21 days or so. Mum sits on the next and Dad sits on the fence and chirps encouragement. We thought they might be hungry, so OH made a feeding tray and put it on the fence near where he sits, I bought small parrot food and he is happily eating his meals at home. We do have photos of him but not of her. Hopefully we will be Grandparrotts quite soon. Isn't it exciting.
