Out and about in the UK 2012

I was going to give the topic the title

Bells and Bicycles in Bruge

But seeing we are only here for another night decided not to.

Why Bicycles and Bells?

Well the bicycle rules!!!! they have right of way beware any pedestrian that gets in their way,as I found out.Honestly the bicycles do have right of way.

Bells ring every fifeteen minutes and it is lovely,so European.

Went to the markets today, just brand new goods nothing old to find, did find a couple of antique shops but was very dissapointed in them.

The weather is just perfect, plenty of autumn sun, hope it stays that way.Hopefully I will be able to post photos next week.

Go Granny, if you look long and hard enough, with your luck you will find a sought after bargain - hey you might even find our elusive black koala.

Have a great trip, looking forward to seeing and hearing about it.

Wilma.

Enjoy your trip, and especially the weather. It's a lovely time of year in Europe, and hopefully not too cold.

Granny, I think that TV shows like Bargain Hunter and Antique  Roadshow, the Collectors, plus now the American shows, have all given market stall holders and second hand shops grandiose ideas about pricing their wares.

It's a shame the fun of hunting for bargains has almost gone.

Enjoy the holidays, and like Wilma said; You may still find the elusive treasure in the most unexpected place.

In Market Harborough now, found two Carnival glass plates, both European( I think,)cost me ten pounds or $17.00 for them both.Auction tomorrow ten min walk away from the hotel too late for the viewing this arvo, will be there at nine on the dot to view tomorrow.

Hynes the cyclists in Bruge would just hit you leg or whatever part of the body was in the way and just carry on their merry way.

On a sadder note called to see my  BIL  who has terminal brain cancer on the way to M H ,all I can say it was a very emotional time for my hubby.

Not the BIL  I last saw two years ago,you would not think it was the same person.

Will let you know what the auction was like.

Now on my own for a couple of days as the OH is in Glasgow.

Do like the op shops here, found a Caithness vase,a Wedgewood china perfume bottle with puffer intact and a Art Glass vase which has the look of Loetz, approx $36.00 for the three.

May take a bus ride into Leicester tomorrow, who knows what will be there.
