Hi there everyone
I'm posting some pics of a Raynal doll that's been sitting in my cupboard for a few years after I bought it from a charity store. She stands about 44 cm (17 inches) tall, has vinyl head and limbs, plastic body, with long ash blond hair in absolutely beautiful condition (hair is not as grey as it looks in my photos... it's a beige ash blond). Her blue eyes open and close. She has a laughing box in her back that only works in a demented kinda way! Her condition is excellent.. minor marks only, unnoticeable. I have given her a rudimentary wipe but will leave further cleaning to her prospective new owners (that is, if I can sell her!)
She's really lovely!... but I can't find her anywhere when I search for the French brand Raynal. She is not marked with any "Made in" information. "Raynal" is impressed at the base of her hairline and on her back. No other markings, no year or model number. Here's pics... any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
cheers

Hi Kazzibee
If you pop on over to eBay France in their doll section are a number of Raynal dolls, I didn't go through all of the listings, however I found your doll with different colour hair, no name given.
I also saw a Raynal doll book for sale. Hope this helps. 🙂

Noddylives: Thanks so much for your response... I have also received an answer from a European user on the eBay US site.... the doll is a 1963 "Chantal".

At least now if I want to sell her I have some reference information!
many thanks

ps. in case you're interested... there are two similar dolls:
Corinne 1963: Very similar but a different face and she is not as tall as Chantal.
Christine 1970: She is very similar to Chantal, however she has an electric laugh box instead of the mechanical one.
cheers
