pats_treasures, the images are of poor resolution, which makes it more difficult to tell.

Can you perhaps take some higher quality photos?

Is there a date mark? Is it under-glaze? When you touch the pattern of this piece, does it feel flat or can you feel that it's been handpainted in layers?

Hi Pat, as suggested a clearer pic especially of the top of the item is needed.

pats_treasures, that is definitely a better resolution!

To be absolutely sure, can you upload a photo of the underside (with the mark) as well as this photo of the top?

My initial feeling is that the painting (cf. the gold leaf?) is too clumsy, going rather beyond the edges of the design. However, a good look at the underside, including a good clear look at the mark, should settle the matter.
