There was a break in at Jones of Guildford, last month, and over 100 pieces stolen. For those in the eastern states who may not know about Jones of Guildford, they have Wembley and Darbyshire on display and are contributors to the Wembley books etc. This is a quote from the Wembley Ware Society:
Please be aware of this if you are considering buying Wembley Ware and Royal Winton pieces. ...update today on what was stolen from Vince Jones Antiques in Guildford, WA one month ago.
Royal Winton was taken as well as Wembley Ware.
Vince estimates that 60 to 100 pieces of Wembley Ware were taken.
None of the iconic pieces were taken, e.g. the kookaburra, magpie, and koala were not taken as they were stored elsewhere.
The aeroplane was not taken either. The lettuce/vine leaf cruet sets not taken.
Vince says that it appears that they were after the more unusual items.
Among the items that were taken are:
Tall salt &pepper sets, aboriginal ashtrays
Steamer pot in off-white china with an aluminium lid.
Unusual oval-shaped tureen with a lid, about 6 inches wide and 10 inches long, off-white with blue flowers on it.
WW plate with hand-moulded flowers on it was also among the items taken, and the WW eagles were NOT taken.
Assessment is continuing.

Oh that's a shame to hear about, I love that shop, they have so many interesting bibs and bobs, sounds like the people who did this had been scoping out what pieces they were interested in, I wonder if the owners noticed an increase in interest in these pieces prior to the theft.
I wish them the best in finding the culprits.
